Production Report Turned Cat Fight

So, Pruitt had said that she would assist with one of my interviews because I needed to record a girl on her bike and I needed someone to drive me while I got footage. The interview was scheduled for 9 a.m. and Pruitt had said that she would wake up at 8 a.m to help me get prepared. I spent an hour and a half trying to call her to no avail and finally decided to drive to her place at the co-op (that place is a zoo). When I finally found her she was in a sad state. ******* Advisory - There are quite a few f-bombs in this one, we were both pretty heated. *******

Ahhh the frustrations of the film industry. Teamwork is key in making a balla product. It also takes teamwork (you and a bottle of Vodka) to make a hella hangover. I liked this....creative. If I didn't know the people in this, I would definitely think that some real heated tension is going on.

Wow that is out of control. I couldn't help giggling my life away over this. As shitty as it is at the time, hopefully you can laugh about it in retrospect. There are definitely always always always issues that arise for every shoot. And I sure am guilty of oversleeping/nearly oversleeping shoots as well so don't feel too bad Pruitt, it happens.
P.S. how funny is it that you were drinking Taaka lol. gotta love a 6 dollar fifth. I have a freezer full of them...my liver hates me...

So I found out today that this production report was faked (i think), but who really cares? This was some hilarious footage, and it probably has some truth in it (actually, probably a lot of truth).

What I mean to say, is that I support staged footage in documentaries, as long as it is rooted in some actual truth. Whether or not I pursue such methods in my own work is still up in the air. Nonetheless, its undoubtedly true that well-known documentarians have recreated or otherwise staged segments in their respective films.

I didn't realize so many people would think this was real. At the same time that is what I was going for. Of course, if people did believe the footage was real they were probably like David is an a**hole and I didn't want that image (at least not for too long.) The truth was that Pruitt and I got along great and she was cool enough to wake up really early for my shoot. We ate donuts, tacos, played with Igby and listened to Prince. This was a creative piece by two sleep deprived doc students and it was fun to make.
