Production report 2: interview w/ Grandmother

finally uploaded to Youtube, these unedited clips are amazingly large...anyway, here is a clip from an interview with my grandmother about my father, who was a large inspiration in my life to be the way I am. There is some random stuff at the end, but I can't edit it so its all in there :)

I like the feel you get from your family. Can't wait to see where you plan to implement the footage. The dogs fighting is amazing footage to me...can't really pick out why. I'll let you know if I find a reason.

WOW! Very powerful footage, confidently and innovatively shot. Look forward to seeing the CU interview footage cut in.... but the amazing thing about this footage is how seamless it is while including so many strong elements. Great style.

Dogs are cinematic, just ask Ellen to show you all her first Doc.

I also love the dynamic shooting style and want to see the close-up footage cut in. I don't know if it was a tactic or not, but the choice to have your mother going through photos was a good one. It personalizes and relaxes the interview. I think this is a good shooting technique overall. Be careful of an over-wondering camera though, try to stick on one thing for long enough in case you want to cut to it for a longer than a few seconds.
